1st blog

Ok, I've finally set this up. Now the problem exists about what to say. Not too much now -- just want it on here so I can go to the next step.

  1. In response to the assignment #4, I found particular interest in the posting by Kris Bradburn entitled "How to Prevent Another Leonardo da Vinci".
I teach gifted kids part of the day, and I find it increasingly frustrating that they don't seem to have the same curiosity and drive that my earlier students had. Bradburn's blog seemed to support that thought. I guess it's somewhat reassuring that others feel the same, not that it makes it any easier to accept. My whole teaching experience has been to encourage kids to THINK and question and go find the answers - not just accept the status quo. I find that more difficult each year. I still love teaching, but I want to do so much more with my kids and they seem ok with what they know --- No passion! & it's certainly not 100% of them that are this way -- I just want all of them to be "hungry" to find all the answers of the universe.
(Misti, if you read this, I need help getting the source linked in to my blog.)

  2. I don't think I answered any of the questions on the assignment, but I really enjoyed reading the blogs.

  3. Copy and paste your comment on Thing #4 into a new blog post. That way it will show up as a post rather than a comment.

  4. I really enjoyed your comment for Assignment 4. Is that your blog posting? I'm going to find the article and read it.

If you want to link your source, you have to copy and paste the "comment" into a new post. Then you will have the tools available to create a link.
